When I was a kid I used to see a lot of possum as roadkill - never occured
to my family that you might eat such critters with their rat like tails.
Ever eat groundhog? We used to trap tons of them to keep them out of the
garden but the only one that ate them was the dog. I realize now that it all
"tastes like chicken" but in those days the only chicken-tasting things we
would eat were actual chickens.
