Is the mechanical toolbox in Matlab reliable or generally accepted? |

I want to build a model based on the mechanical toolbox in Matlab in
order to do a simulink-based simulation on a flexible manipulator, but
is that already acknowledged by the academic field? Can I use the
result in a formal paper?
