Heard 2 different Savannah Sparrows singing in Rocky Harbour this
morning. I was wondering when they were going to appear because Tina
and I had one turn up at our feeder way back on April 18th but havent
seen a sign of them since. Grackles are also finally turning up around
town this week though again Tina saw one of them at our feeder way
back on April 12th.
Also, Melissa Makowska, a student who'll be studying birds in Gros
Morne this summer, saw a palm warbler and a black-backed woodpecker on
the Baker's Brook trail (just outside Rocky Harbour) yesterday.
